Breakthrough Therapy. Lasting Change.
My name is Taylor Friend, LCSWA, and I am a North Carolina licensed therapist dedicated to helping children, adolescents, and adults navigate life's challenges with greater resilience, self-understanding, and healing. I work with clients that have experienced trauma or the regular everyday stressors that can impact the client’s emotional well-being, relationships, and daily functioning of a person. I gladly see clients ages 10 & above for all different needs.
However, I have significant experience in five areas:
Teens & Young Adults
Infertility, Prenatal, and Postpartum Health
Couples Counseling & Divorce Care
Chronic Stress, Pain, & Illnesses
Trauma Recovery
I take an integrative, client-centered approach to therapy, recognizing that each individual's experiences and needs are unique. Drawing from evidence-based modalities, such as Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and somatic approaches, I tailor treatment to support meaningful and lasting change. My work emphasizes both emotional processing and the mind-body connection, helping clients develop practical coping skills while addressing the deeper roots of distress.
Whether you are working through the effects of trauma, managing chronic pain, facing life transitions, or feeling overwhelmed by everyday stressors, I strive to provide a compassionate, collaborative, and nonjudgmental space where healing and growth can occur. My goal is to help clients build greater self-awareness, strengthen their internal resources, and move toward a more balanced and fulfilling life.
